The service life of activated carbon filter mainly depends on a number of factors, such as the use of the environment, the type and quality of the filter medium, the frequency of use. When the filter performance begins to decay, its filtration efficiency will be reduced, so it needs to be checked and replaced regularly.
In order to analyze the performance attenuation of the activated carbon filter, the following steps can be performed:
1. Check the inlet and outlet pressure difference of the filter: with the increase of the use time, the inlet and outlet pressure difference of the activated carbon filter will gradually increase, which is caused by the gradual accumulation of pollutants in the filter medium. Once the inlet/outlet pressure difference exceeds a certain threshold, the filter medium needs to be replaced.
2. Measure filtration efficiency: harmful substances such as particulate matter or odor can be used for testing. With the increase of use time, the filtration efficiency will gradually decrease, indicating that the activated carbon filter needs to be replaced.
3. Check the color of the filter media: Generally speaking, the color of the filter media will become darker with the increase of time. If the color of the filter medium becomes very dark, it means that the activated carbon is saturated and the filter medium needs to be replaced.
Maintenance and replacement cycles depend on filter usage and requirements. Normally, activated carbon filters require regular cleaning and replacement of filter media to ensure proper operation and filtration efficiency.
